The purposes of (Ridna Shkola), as set forth in its Articles, are to:

Nurture and maintain Ukrainian culture and identity through the teaching of Ukrainian history, language, and the arts; |
| to cultivate an appreciation of the Ukrainian heritage in children and youth of Ukrainian descent;
to operate and maintain in western Pennsylvania a school of Ukrainian studies; |
| to provide an enriched environment for children and youth of Ukrainian descent through the exploration and mastery of another
culture and tradition so as to promote a strong identification to the culture and tradition beloved by their parents and grandparents; |
| and to prepare curriculum materials for use by other schools of Ukrainian studies. |
